Prior authorisation can harm patients with cancer in the USA
In the USA, before a patient can receive certain treatments or medications, a prior authorisation from their health insurance company is needed. A new USA-wide survey by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) highlights that prior authorisations lead to serious adverse outcomes for people with cancer.

It is absolute 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌 that I have to submit a #PriorAuthorization stating the diagnosis codes for the prescription I sent... when the prescription *already* contained that information.
