Truly ironic isn't it? THEY'RE the ones truly getting owned. MAGA are the most dependent on SNAP & Medicaid, the most affected by hurricanes and need FEMA. They're primarily in right-to-work states that job loss hits hardest. But that's all okay because somewhere a Lib can't buy gas for their Prius.

That’s about what I paid today. I had a plug in Prius, but it was very old and it died. I couldn’t justify spending a bunch of money on another EV when my commute is only 20 miles a week.

In fairness to the P90, it's still in production & active service around the world. I don't disagree with the Doctor's assessment that the AR-15 design has become the Rav4 & Prius of gun designs, but alternatives still exist. Kind of like the Range Rover and Fusion.
catwoman's gun here is transparently a version of the p90, which began development in 1986 as a replacement for 9mm submachine guns, which were used as smaller weapons for vehicle crews (etc)

I am glad we have a Prius.
That said, keep in mind many of us may not be able to get an electric or a plug-in hybrid. That includes my wife and I. We live in a urban apartment in an expensive city (and have rent-control).

I just ordered a fob for the Prius from eBay for less than $30. After it comes and gets programmed one fob will be mine and one will be Eric’s and god help him if he loses his BECAUSE HE CANNOT EVER BORROW MINE.

I've been kind of lusting after an EV, but the monthly cost to pay it off would be orders of magnitude larger than the monthly cost of simply paying the insane prices of gas. Also, I'd want one of those cool fucking Xiaomi EVs, not some fucking Chevy Bolt or Prius.

Contrary indicator: last week I hired a dishwasher repairman to come over and see what was going on with ours. He showed up in a Prius. So… that was okay.

Hopefully 3rd time’s a charm getting a locksmith to replace our lost key fob for the Prius. Never heard back from the first 2 I called which is no way to run a business. Not really the way I wanted to celebrate my birthday but gotta be done.

We had 3 Prius cars, back in the aughts. All three had to have the battery pack ‘refreshed’ between 100k and 125k miles.
At a cost of about $5k.
The newer batteries must be made of sterner stuff.
