Modern pro sports are just Rollerball.
No sportsball for you. Nerdball takes up too much time.

Outbid on megayachts, pro sports teams, and buisness school naming rights, these single-digit billionaires are finding life near the top isn't quite what they'd been banking on.

Some will criticize me for not supporting the Brew Crew, but I have decided I will casually support one WI pro sports team (Packers) and one CA pro sports team (Dodgers). Farewell.

The Golden State Valkyries are the greatest team story in American sports

In just 2 seasons of existence they’ve sold out every home game

They have the highest home attendence

The highest ever valuation for a Womens pro sports team..850M

Made it to the WNBA Finals in year 2.
A Meteoric rise

Looks like the Democratic candidate for US Senate in South Carolina, Annie Andrews, is pro-sports bans and pro-surgery bans for youth, which include top surgery and which have even been interpreted to include blocker and hormone implants.

She's the latest anti-trans dem.
It's incredible how her total capitulation on trans rights didn't stop this

Humans are mere dollar containers meant to be cracked open and sucked dry by Walmart so the company‘s heirs can throw obscene money into pro sports where they can sit in box seats with Condoleeza Rice and be unquestioningly portrayed as community leaders. 🤦
Walmart, “quietly updated its customer privacy notice in August, broadening the data it can collect and analyze to include everything from retinal imagery and demographic information to income and license plate numbers. The company even asserts the right to follow shoppers aisle by aisle…”
Walmart Says It Prices Products, Not People. Its Patents Suggest Otherwise.
A decade of filings reveals technology that could instantly change prices based on what’s in your cart, your perceived personality, and even the specifics of your car.

This is a slap in the face to women's sports to show an interview instead of the pro women's finish at the Chicago Marathon. (I'm sure most of the commentators are equally frustrated at the moment.)

Probably need to limit to pro team sports, because Serena, Ledecky, Phelps, Biles, probably forgetting some

I STRONGLY CONDEMN the Milwaukee Brewers for again making me believe this embarrassment to pro sports can be beaten in October.

NHL has the best officials in all of pro sports.
Crazy that was lowered to a double minor. We're just letting guys spear each other now? #Canucks

NEW: Following the Supreme Court OK'ing states' trans sports bans, ADF is now taking its targeting of states with pro-trans sports policies to SCOTUS — via the shadow docket in a case out of Washington. www.documentcloud.org/documents/28...

He’s already so rich, why does he need to promote illegal gambling? Gambling, highly promoted by pro sports, will eventually ruin pro sports because pro sports are incredibly greedy.

Isn’t pro sports so much like corporation work spaces, in that the best talent is not always where it should be.

finals appearances for Atlanta pro sports teams:

Falcons: 2 SB appearances
Braves: 6 WS appearances
Dream: 4 finals appearances
Hawks: ...they're trying their best, ok?

I wonder if there is any causal effect between major local college sports upsets and anti-/pro-incumbent election results (depending on if the home team is upset or doing the upsetting).

I’m sure some bored political scientist has looked at this.
If Talarico really wants to win the Senate election, he'll blame this Texas loss on Paxton.

Leaving aside the sports washing/reputation laundering, pro sports is actually one of the world’s biggest money laundering opportunities.

A team wins a championship in pro sports every single year.

It’s normal.

But the ThreePeat is that rarest of accomplishments that separate legendary squads.

Only the Lakers have done it in the 3 major American sports leagues this century.

The Dodgers are finding out how hard it is right now.
