I only saw pictures of those systems in the nmr lab. These old timers were great teachers. No ATR, no auto-shimming, different probe heads for different jobs. I spent a lot of time on the floor screwing in the probeheads, tuning & matching. Learned a lot! Made me appreciate the modern developemens.
