This is even worse than I could have guessed. It argues a site that is actually gamed to be an extremist political project is somehow "preferable" and less echo chambery than one that currently skews progresssive.

Too often we put the Kings' global vision into his last years, when she had an internationalist frame from the Progresssive Party. The Kings attended Nkrumah's inauguration in Ghana in March 1957 & on the way home spent the day with C.L.R. & Selma James in London discussing global Black struggle.

Part of the reason this electorate is receptive to progresssive views is there are people out there in these communities who have them! They have been active in local industry and organizations. We can look to the helpers rather than dressing up a nepo DC bartender for a viral vid.
Also, for the record, I think one other thing that was exposed here is the way some people view the rural working class as a caricature. Platner was never substantive or real. There are plenty of standup guys with progressive views who are actually in those communities.

Could happen in LD17. There is a reasonably strong progresssive caucus in Piscataway. The demographics and vibes in Central NJ are just very different from Jersey City though.

"Why did Progressive Democrats support Joe Biden?" Because they are at least marginally competent politicians who know that Establishment Dems will choose the successor so there's 0 chance it will be a Progresssive & if he's replaced with someone other than Harris it's a guaranteed loss in November

Mitte-Parteien *können* aber auch gar keine zukunftsorientierte Politik mache, da aufgrund von Pandemie, Klimakatastrophe, veränderten geopolitische Machtverhältnissen usw die Rahmenbedingungen für progresssive Politik *innerhalb* des bestehenden Systems nicht mehr gegeben sind.
