Anyone done prolotherapy for CCI?
In an hour I'll be having a potentially life changing procedure called Prolotherapy. Because of my hEDS, the connective tissue in my spine doesn't hold it in place. To stabilize it they'll be injecting sugar there to create an inflammation reaction to make scar tissue. Accepting all positive vibes!

I experienced this beginning a few years ago. Lost 17 pounds. Thought I developed an eating disorder in my 50’s which made no sense. I also have EDS and cervical instability. I got Prolotherapy on my neck (X3) and the nausea stopped. So did the numb/tingling in hands/feet. It was the vagus nerve.

Old man Akira got his 3rd round of prolotherapy yesterday. He always comes back a bit wobbly and sleepy. But he handles it well and the Vets + Techs love him. His CCL will never be 100% again but this process has been much easier on him than surgery would have been.

This is one reason why I'm not pursuing shoulder surgery, but an experimental (at least for the shoulder?) technique called prolotherapy.

The treatments I have done are also painful. 3 rounds of PRP and 2 rounds of prolotherapy. 9 to 10 injections in my feet at a time. Feet are one of the most painful places to get injections, and you can't use any lidocaine or anything because it makes the injections not work.
