Great takedown of yet another bad attempt to revive modernism, prometheanism, etc that is really just trad reaction with futurist aesthetics. I’m not sure we deserve a better class of promethean, but we need it.
This characterization is going to stick with me. Per @sjshancoxli.liberalcurrents.com’s review, it’s like Brink Lindsey wants a world where radically transformative technologies have changed the world completely but household formation hasn’t changed since the Flintstones (both on a ‘50s model)

We're missing a chunk of noosphere w/ cultural element of prometheanism and voluntaryist uplift of humans and nonhumans alike. Folks jumping straight onto acc melted ppls brains. upnetwork ~VCs took it to the head, thought they were main characters, assets too. Rampant objectification. Molochian.

The Counter-Enlightenment was right about the problem of Prometheanism and idolatry in the Enlightenment. They just failed to draw the necessary conclusion that not being God means giving up patriarchy, racism, colonialism etc. You can’t be all “ooh I’m so humble, I’m dust” and need constant control
