It's as if intellectual property laws or human decency don't exist for these people. They have no idea the kinds of malicious ways this can be utilized and they're just unleashing this on the world to prop up their AI market bubble.

c) housing prices are persistently high despite the collapse of the property bubble in 2020 and the bankruptcy of major real estate firms like Evergrande, because the govt is blocking them from falling to market levels to avoid rage from the urban upper-middle-class, a bedrock of party support

When will the climate change coastal property bubble pop? A significant acceleration in coastal flooding from a lunar orbit shift (mid-2030s) will significantly stress the market. My 2024 post: "When will climate change turn life in the U.S. upside down?"

The dot com bubble bursting didn't end the internet. But it did end the notion that putting any business online would succeed.

The housing bubble bursting didn't end mortgage-backed securitization. But it did end the notion that everyone should be buying it and there was no risk.

The AI bubble...

"All we're doing is causing psychosis, creating deepfake nudes and committing the largest case of intellectual property theft in history, while also creating a bubble in the financial markets, why are people so mean to us?"

The bluesky bubble is very dangerous. Think about it; all bubbles burst. You're gonna have a bluesky bubble burst and then all that blue sky will rush back into the vacuum and burst your eardrums. Then you'll be sorry. It'll cause property damage. We should not have giant bubbles in the sky.

i've said for quite literally years the problem in china with hte property/etc bubble is the affect on household balance sheets (i.e. homes are a toxic asset)

which is the fundamental issue behind "involution," deflation, overproduction, the property sector bubble, etc etc etc--a simply enormous amount of money sloshing around the system, deliberately kept out of the pockets of ordinary people, seeking (and struggling to find) a profitable home

We know what makes housing affordable (build housing), but the UK government won't build because for a specific generation, their savings are held in overvalued property (that is increasingly illiquid while inside the decades-long bubble), and unscrambling that egg by building housing costs money
Using the BoE inflation calculator - my dad bought an ex council house for £40k in 1988.

It should be now £115k according to that website.

The last valuation was £650k.
