Guys like Fukuyama keep uncritically parroting the talking point about how the "Left" doesn't want "alternative views to be expressed" when most of what I actually don't want expressed is the ubiquitous right-wing cocktail of bald proselytization, sleazy prevarication, and blatant premeditated lying

Guys like Fukuyama keep uncritically parroting the talking point about how the "Left" doesn't want "alternative views to be expressed" when most of what I actually don't want expressed is the ubiquitous right-wing cocktail of bald proselytization, sleazy prevarication, and blatant premeditated lying
was never a fan of this but it became much more sinister to me when I eventually realized that public proselytization isn't designed to convert members of the public (it literally never works) but as a brainwashing/indoctrination technique aimed by the religion at the proselytizers

Proselytization is so ingrained in Christian culture, they hardly know when they’re doing it anymore, let alone how it feels to hear when you’re not in their club.

If I had reached out to the right people for emotional support I probably would have figured things out way sooner but, I didn't, and that's part of why I do a little bit of annoying proselytization about the whole Just Try A Lil Estrogen thing

Also to lots of us whose heritage, culture, and traditions ARE connected to Abrahamic religions. "Judeo-Christian" is not a real thing and I'm extremely not interested in being co-opted for someone else's proselytization agenda.
