Digging more into the #xmpp ecosystem and @prose looks really promising. All open source too under the MPL 2.0 license (and MIT, for the @prosodyim server extensions), and the XMPP client code is nicely abstracted into a #RustLang crate.

Não achei a thread aqui, mas @beabea , o @movim realmente tá funcionando com chamada em grupo e compartilhamento de tela, além dos spaces com salas de voz e canais dentro - só esse lance de spaces não funciona com isaCloud porque o servidor @prosodyim xmpp que usamos ainda não tem o suporte […]

So after running a @prosodyim container and a #dn42 node on my #mikrotik it was only logical to also host the dn42 authoritative #dns zone on it... using #dnsmasq 🤪

Does anyone know of a public Prosody XMPP server? In light of recent events in matrix I wanted to try Prosody.
Also could someone explain OMEMO encryption to me? I know Prosody supports it, but is it on by default?

Hello!
Does anyone know of a public Prosody XMPP server? In light of recent events in matrix I wanted to try Prosody.

If you are using Ejabberd you need to be at least on 25.08 or have mod_s2s_dialback enabled until you can upgrade. Otherwise your connection to other XMPP servers will fail […]

Why not use @Scrollbackio or @IRCCloud (or, indeed, @prosodyim with @getkaiwa & MAM & carbons like CIS does), instead of @SlackHQ?

If you are serious about secure chat services, the best way to do so is to run your own TLS-encrypted XMPP server. I recommend @prosodyim
