This is a pseudo-problem.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

misinformation is a very real issue, the problem was it was folded into a power-flattering pseudo epistemology where only grimy foreigners and YouTubers were capable of doing it when some of the biggest promoters of misinformation are the NYT and Atlantic. This bred cynicism and indifference.
Still wild to me that so many "savvy" folks on left and right have bought into the idea that online misinformation is overblown and doesn't really matter. From lies about migrants to transgender people to crime to election denial to climate denial, it's literally driving our country's politics.

I've been having kind of a hard time with videos lately, for various reasons, and the pseudo-demonetization thing has been rough, both financially and in terms of motivation. It seems like it is showing ads now, but the fact the problem and apparent solution all happened silently is pretty draining.
To anyone that watched my most recent video, were you shown an ad when you watched it? Right now the analytics are making it look like it's made nothing from ad revenue, despite not being visibly demonetized.

IMO it's inaccurate to dismiss the CEO assassin as right-wing. His posts + bookshelf are a bizarre but familiar mishmash of conflicting ideas common to young men, some of which are conservative (or at least hypercapitalist) + some of which are pseudo-leftist. US politics has a 3 body problem.
