Thank you! A U.S. District Judge has approved requests from anonymous federal employees to proceed under pseudonyms in multiple cases against the Trump administration to protect themselves from potential harassment and threats.

It’s remarkable. You can assign current names to her 90 year old pseudonyms.
Every few months now I re-read this "Who Goes Nazi?" piece from 1941 and am blown away by how it captures the people we are dealing with 80 years later.

every single study done on this shows that the actual best behavior is done under consistent pseudonyms and people behave worse under real names

it’s counterintuitive but at this point the real names thing is willful denial of evidence
"The problem with the internet is anonymity" ok but people on nextdoor are insane next to their full name and address

Shout out to all the women who wrote under male pseudonyms during the so-called golden age of Sci-fi.
"Women are not usually into science fiction"is legitimately one of the stupidest, most divorced from reality sentences I have ever read in my life
okay grandpa, let's get you to bed

Equality Phil didn't die so you people could pearl clutch at 21st century pseudonyms
I noted at one point that the reason why you're sort of having to deal with people with names like Katie Tightpussy or nerdjpg with a kirby avatar or whoever being effective subject matter experts on stuff is that you have institutional breakdown which forced a bunch of posters to do it ourselves.

my favorite thing about the ratification debates is actually how all these dudes used pseudonyms. every single one of the framers and ratifiers was a born poster and would have ruined their lives on social media

Also this person doesn't want her real name/other writing pseudonyms printed but let the paper publish a photo which any AI-based image generator will probably match to her real name, that seems odd

Toss in Roberts' romances and she's waaay ahead. (It's the bigger market). Once heard her describe her two pseudonyms, Roberts and Robb, as "coke and diet coke."

Donald Trump used to call journalists under the pseudonyms ‘John Barron’ and ‘John Miller,’ fabricating stories about his wealth (among other things) to get onto the Forbes 400 list.
