The librarian in charge of the NYS history collection gave me this old-ass book to repair. Someone must have glued down the frayed parts of the fabric on the spine because I couldn't salvage it. The title was barely legible, anyway.

I need book recs! My elderly mother is in the hospital & bored. She doesn’t do SFF, although something borderline fantasy might suffice. She likes Laurie Penney but I’m pretty sure she’s read all them. Also Tony Hillerman, but same. Something recent enough that I can probs find it in B&N.

The person who does our ILL is off next week, and we have a 3 day weekend coming up, so the dropbox will be *packed* on Tuesday.

Still no Internet or phones at the library. We're waiting on Spectrum. We now have 2 carts of returns, and today's ILLs to check in as well. Also can't pull the holds 🤦‍♀️

Fortunately, I have books to repair and YA books I can process. Just can't add the books to the collection.
