Linden and I went mushroom hunting, but all we found was this Danger-Noodle-Nope-Nope-Rope

I came upon another Dusky Pygmy Rattlesnake. I see them fairly often here in the sandy scrubs. Usually they are going somewhere, but this one was just eyeballing me and let me get a closer look 👀

fun fact Unlike the iconic buzz the Pygmy’s rattle is proportionally tiny. It sounds more like an angry insect buzzing.

Heading back to Florida soon! Here's a dusky pygmy rattlesnake from a trip to the Everglades earlier this year.

I see these guys fairly often here in Florida. “The pygmy rattlesnake (Sistrurus miliarius) is a small, venomous snake native to the Southeastern United States. It's the smallest rattlesnake species, measuring 15–20 inches long”. #PygmyRattlesnake #Venemous #SnakesofBlueSky
