I started working with Pygora goat fiber this year, and so far I love it! It’s so soft and makes wonderful yarn. I think I may see Pygora goats in my future! 💖

This batt is about 80% white Pygora fiber/20% CVM/Romeldale wool. The Pygora fiber is from HoofandPawFarm on Etsy

I plied the singles for the first half of Pygora goat fiber (Type A), Sample 97, from a center pull ball to get a 35 yards of a 2 ply, fingering weight, 14 wpi yarn.

This morning I chain plied the 35 wpi singles I spun from the second half of Pygora goat fiber (Type A), Sample 97. I got a 3 ply, lace weight yarn, about 31 yards to half an ounce.

Combing some #pygora fiber I bought on a whim in upstate NY. I stayed at a bird farm (they raised chickens and peacocks!) but they also had some pygora goats and offered me a small bag of pygora at what I think was a reasonable price? (I have no idea what it cost anymore). First time combing!

Added a new baby pygora goat to the farm last week. His name is Henry. He thinks Ogie, my angora, is his mommy and follows him everywhere. He’s getting along well with Cardoon the barn cat, too. They all took the air together on a gorgeous day recently.

This Ginsburg/Lewis (Gulf Coast wool/Pygora) blend is THE LAST of the miscellaneous fleece hoard from the basement to go through the mill.

There were **so many** fleeces and now they're all finally in some sort of usable/marketable form. YAY!!! 😁 🐑🧶

I love goats of all kinds: Nubian, oberhasli, Saanen, Angora, Pygora etc. but when it comes to myotonic goats I have very mixed feelings. Not sure it’s very ethical to breed goats with genetic issues just to have them fall over. They are cute though.

I did not buy much today because I have a house full of fiber and yarn and other crafts, but I snagged a little bit of raw fleece. (Almost 3 lbs)

Did not know the vendor's story until I got home and looked at their website. I wish I had more time to chat!

CVM wool from Bennie. There are lot of shades from reddish brown to grey. Grey pygora fleece. It's curly and soft and beautiful.

I’ve been housebound for 8 days after surgery and increasingly at risk of sliding into a black hole of doom. So I just limped outside for a few minutes to say hi to my wee goaties whose goofy greed always makes me laugh. Also dogs.
