Mummu wiki article was really fun to work on but Qingu, despite requiring a largely overlapping repertoire of sources, so far is shaping up miserably. This clearly supports Lambert's view that he was artifically tacked on

until yesterday the title of the page was "Kingu" and not "Qingu" btw, not sure what was up with that since barely anyone romanizes it this way and, as far as I can tell, Qingu was already considered the default in Tallqvist's heyday in the interwar period.

Lambert argues that Qingu might be a subordinate of Ningishzida in the late most likely composite myth he refers to as "The defeat of Enutila, Enmesharra and Qingu" which would admittedly be really funny esp. when you remember how irrelevant Ningishzida was after the third millennium BCE

Lambert based this interpretation on Qingu being referred to as the "director of the host of Eguzalimmaⱨ" which does appear to be a variant form of the name of Ningishzida's temple(?) in Babylon; Ningishzida himself doesn't come up in the surviving fragments of TDoEEaQ though
