Someone should make a reverse DNSSEC test that checks if your resolver validates, and if not shows a reassuring “you have good mitigations against DNSSEC misconfigurations.”

Check your router updates and EOL, cable modem is a long story, set WiFi to WPA2/AES+WPA3/(optional or required PMF), set DNS to Quad9 ECS for malware filtering, know anything that sees its radio can infer your GPS location based on open maps of WiFi AP MAC's

I beg you- if your parents aren't tech literate, and you can't teach them/they won't learn, PLEASE lock down their network and devices.
Parental controls. Enforce the browser they use; add ublock origin (ie: not chrome). Make their devices use AdGuard or Quad9 DNS servers.

We host our own authoritative DNS servers to provide DNS resolution for our services. Authoritative DNS are the servers queried by DNS resolvers run by your ISP, VPN or an explicitly user chosen one such as Cloudflare or Quad9 DNS. We now have our own AS and IP space for this.
