I’m not opposed to reducing the number of recommendations made, but I am opposed to removing Fedora Atomic. I really think we should be pushing new users towards atomic distributions in general, I find it much nicer for system stability. dngray: > I also think that things like Tails and Whonix should really be moved to the Tor section anyway, as its not something you always want to do anyway. Qubes OS could then simply become a sub-item of Whonix as the template for Whonix is what runs on Qubes OS anyway. I think this would be a good idea. We should keep these purpose-specific options available on the website so people know they exist, but keeping them in the OS recommendations does feel a bit out of place. In general, though, rather than removing recommendations, I’d rather we just make it more obvious what we believe should be the “default choice(s)”. The first thing people read about the first recommendation we make is: > **Fedora Linux** is our recommended desktop distribution for people new to Linux. Which is pretty good already, in my opinion. I’d much rather not reduce recommendations just to avoid overwhelming people.
