Really enjoying the battles/encounters in Spire's End: Rangitaki.
These eels will poke in and out of the game board. Their bodies are more vulnerable than their heads. Plus the art... so good.

I guess their statement sums it up: "Spire's End: Rangitaki is a work of complete fantasy [and] not intended to represent or depict any real culture [...]. That being said, our intention is to pay homage to [...] Tiki Culture" It's a contradiction in terms. It's not Tiki but an homage to Tiki???

I had high expectations for Spire's End: Rangitaki after playing its predecessor. I'm not sure it delivered on my own hype, but I do think it's a good game and well worth a playthrough.

Where I think Spire's End: Rangitaki could be improved:
– It's incredibly short, and I don't think there's a lot of replay value
– Some minor UX things, like just saying what Breadfruit and other items do on the card
– It overexplains some rules like "Talents," making them more confusing

Overall, Spire's End: Rangitaki is a good game.
I think it's beautifully crafted, well-thought-out, and has many memorable gaming experiences and story moments.
The art and the main character vomiting up weapons and items to use were standout moments for me.
