lmao yeah. i guess you're one of several reasons the RawData<'_> type exists in jacquard, because @bad-example.com wanted to be able to deal with invalid atproto data in a useful way.

i concede csv is probably just there for teaching but it's still there. and TBH i run a long term data program ( not keeling curve (KC) long but about 15Y) the KC rawdata is pretty small. fit on a usb . not a chance this isn't backed up 11++ times by those involved

The staircase pattern in this WaPost moving average seems odd. Looking closer, there's a pretty strong sawtooth pattern in the dots, which is a mystery to me. Even birth years lead to higher song ratings??? #dataviz 📊

yeah, the serde_json::Value comparison was specific. these are methods that are going on jacquard's Data and RawData value types to make pulling stuff out of them a lot easier. like i'm not even going to do proper search terms, just path-like expressions, *maybe* add type filters.

yeah this is a use for the jacquard Data query methods...it'll also tell you the location of the field in the data. need to remember to add them all to RawData as well.

The workaround is to pack Pod5 and fastq in on tar.gz and upload that as nanopore rawdata. It is not pretty but it works. However, I am not sure storing Pod5 is worth it.

Jacquard already does a lot of partial understanding sdr-podcast.com/episodes/par... with its Data and RawData value types, but those aren't so useful if you just have one field in an otherwise properly shaped structure that doesn't match the spec.
