Cuties and fuzzies, this fox has recently reversed engineered the 20kbps COOK (RealAudio) codec, and created a C# based audio encoder that works decently well!
The stereo window shifting is making it echo in the lower tones, but still need to tweak it!

I really tried to like RealPlayer for a while. I even ripped some CDs to RealAudio format. But that got me realizing that Real's formats just rebadge other codecs. At the time, RealAudio was just AAC in a proprietary container.
