#recentlyread Our Cut of Salt by @deenahelm.bsky.social (got this ARC at StokerCon). Incredible. Has to be in consideration for best horror debut/first novel this year. Beautifully written, powerfully presented. Heartbreaking, horrifying, and, yes, haunting. Free Palestine.

Summer reads! Trying to keep up with new thriller releases and #bb28 has been rough, but I’m having fun! 💙📚 #booksky #July2026 #August2026 #July #August #wrapup #books #recentlyread

#recentlyread series finale. I expected more. The characters spent too long apart, which should have been fixed with letters (series staple) but it wasn't enough for me to feel invested in the romance. They had a good partnership, but not a relationship. Not enough 🔥for me. 5/10 #romancelandia 💙📚

#recentlyread This is where I officially get off the wagon. Sorry, I tried, but I don't think I read 50 whole pages throughout the whole book. I like the premise, but it's just not for me anymore. I did have the next book ready to go, but I stopped on chapter 8. Best of luck to Carl and Donut.

#recentlyread This is where I started to skim. I knew it would happen eventually. The premise of each book in this series is essentially the same, and I got bored with the overlong descriptions. Funny at first. Now I'm over them. Still continuing the series through the library, but meh.

#recentlyread Mixed feelings about this one. I liked the story, but it doesn't conclude at the end. I think it's meant to be a cliffhanger, but it just feels... unfinished in an unsatisfying way. Not sure if I want to read the next one. I prefer Ruinous Love over this series. Same author.

#recentlyread I will say this, the books do keep getting better. I'm still invested in the characters, and I liked the way others are getting pulled in. Still not something I would reread over and over but I'm still going to keep reading. 8/10

#recentlyread cozy fantasy with shape shifters. I liked the opossum shifter heroine. I liked that Gus the natural opossum had a say, too. He's the best part of the book. But I almost DNF'd this 2 chapters in because of bad editing. It was a cute story, but I won't be continuing the series.

#recentlyread Well, more like skimmed. And I honestly don't feel like I missed anything important. No hate to anyone who likes this book, it just wasn't for me.

#recentlyread I will say this book is better than part 1. Some of the issues I had with the first book got smoothed out here, and I do enjoy the story. Still not a book I would want forever on my bookshelves, but I do want to see what happens next. 7/10 💙📚

#recentlyread The one everyone's talking about. Good book? Yes. Am I reading the next one? Yes. I like the complexity of the world and how the "monsters" aren't really ever monsters. But there's something about the writing style that bugs me for some reason. 6/10 for me. 💙📚

#recentlyread #romantasy centered around Irish lore. Great story. I'm a sucker for story tellers in a book. But the ending is too sweet for me to read the second book in the series. I want it to end on a Happily Ever After and screw everything else. lol 💙📚
