Hard birding weather saw myself and @davidjrbratt.bsky.social’s daily Yellow-browed total fall to 5 birds. We found a Firecrest. Revisited one of yesterday’s Barred. Good numbers of Brambling, Song Thrush and Redwing. Willow Warbler and Blackcap in weird places. Star of the day though:

No fair weather birding here on #Unst Surprisingly we had quite a productive day with pied fly, rb fly, bluethroat, blackcap, chiffchaff, redwing, brambling, song thrush, robin, arctic tern and a couple of otters.

Barnsness at least 1 yellow browed warbler 1 red breasted flycatcher and pied flycatcher. Hundreds of Thrushes mostly Redwing and Song thrush. Some record shots from triangle wood. Birds at Barnsness less accommidating.

Brambling(s) with chaffinch flock near turning for Boulby. One bird seen briefly a few times, quite possibly the same individual. Also at least one, probably two, redwing. And a jay... @teesbirds.bsky.social

Electrical hazard ratings or slip resistant ratings? If yes, you want a trade boot that can be resoled. If it’s more casual not specifically rated and you want a resoled boot, redwing 875 or iron ranger will do. If it has a Cristy sole those will wear out pretty quickly on asphalt.

Namib Minerals Secures US$6.5 Million Term Loan Facility to Partially Fund Resource Definition and Bankability
Namib Minerals (Nasdaq: NAMM) has secured a US$6.5 million term loan through its wholly owned subsidiary Bulawayo Mining Company.The loan from African Banking Corporation of Zimbabwe (BancABC) is non-dilutive and is consolidated with existing term loan and overdraft facilities. Namib expects the new funding to partially finance Step 3 of its Redwing Mine development milestones: surface exploration drilling and advancing the Definitive Feasibility Study, a detailed assessment of project viability, to full bankability. The remaining Step 3 funding is expected under its sequenced financing plan. Dewatering, Step 1, was completed ahead of schedule; the Step 2 technical programme is underway and fully funded.

Offshore passage had three Shoveler, 85 Wigeon, six Pintail, 44 Teal and six Little Gull the best. Overhead there was a bit of passage including 405 Swallow, 300 Meadow Pipit & 17 Siskin, some unseen Chaffinch flocks heard arriving this afternoon. A Redwing was on nocmig last night #kentbirding
