Meta should straight up be dismantled. There’s no regulatory environment with fines steep enough to solve a corporate culture this depraved.

If the GOP doesn’t want tax dollars going to food, healthcare, housing, ed, SS, veterans’ care, housing, research, science, art, infrastructure, transit, childcare, the environment, public broadcasting, diplomacy, regulatory agencies, or job training… WTF are we paying them for?

Republicans want to use an accounting trick to hide the true cost of Trump's tax cuts for the wealthy in their budget bill.

Meanwhile, they're hacking away at regulatory rules that protect consumers, workers, and the environment.

The GOP works for the oligarchs — not you.

These are efforts to make cures for multiple sclerosis, herpes — affects hundreds of millions in the US alone! — and shingles.

This is mindblowing, amazing stuff.

But these efforts for cures require a predictable regulatory environment, where decisions are made based on science & and pub health.

Nope.

I don’t accept this position — that we are powerless to change the outcome of this mess.

We have a small, time-critical window where we can collectively navigate through this.

Also don’t forget, these are commercial entities that are selling products/services that are subject to laws.
Private companies could ruin the night sky for the entire world, and international law can't stop them

SpaceX's move to TX is the strongest argument available for California's regulatory environment just as Boeing's manufacturing move to Charlotte was the best argument for Washington's union rules.
they have *never* been great, but moving to texas seems to have kicked the legs out of whatever controls they’d built to keep musk from meddling, with predictable results
One of the SpaceX fan cams caught a crane collapse at Starbase in Texas. This kind of thing only happens from a completely unacceptable safety culture failure and I'd be shocked if there wasn't a death here

A Latino family in L.A. sued over an illegal eviction. The landlord's lawyer, Rod Fehlman, warned in an email that they'd "likely be picked up by ICE and deported prior to trial thanks to all the good work the Trump administration has done."

The kicker? Every member of the family is a U.S. citizen.

Stable regulatory environment is one of those things you don’t really appreciate until you don’t have it.
CNBC's Steve Liesman doesn't mince words about the way the White House calculated its tariff rates:

"Nobody ever heard of this formula. Nobody has ever used this formula. So I’m sorry, but the conclusion seems to be the president kind of made this up as he went along... these are off the charts."

The White House plan to attract manufacturing businesses with a volatile regulatory environment, new arbitrary taxes (subject to change on a whim), and sending secret police to harass foreign workers has not led to more factory construction in the US.

Why didn’t that work? I was told it would work.
