This image is a screenshot from my computer. It shows a computer window of the graphic design program Affinity version 3. It depicts my workspace while I am learning to create William Morris-style/Arts and Crafts Movement-inspired repeat patterns. So far, my pattern is of a bouquet of pink tulips with swirling and entwined green leaves and yellow stems on a navy blue background. This is still a work in progress.

I’ve been taking Bärbel Dressler’s class on Arts and Crafts Movement pattern design. After a ton of revisions I finally have my hand drawn repeat. It’s the first time I’ve made a repeat using traditional techniques. Time to scan it and clean it up on the computer. #Art #WorkInProgress #RepeatPattern
