#resegregation
When one party is advocating for death camps and resegregation, nicer is a win you privileged clueless child.

Resegregation is mostly racial but also about reversing the progress women have made.
The US Dept. of Education abruptly cut off funding for a Wisconsin program that funds campus childcare centers and covers 75-95% of care costs for student parents at state schools. This will almost certainly force parents (and especially mothers) out of college.

Federal child care funding loss leaves Wisconsin student parents scrambling to stay in school
The federal government declined to award grants that have long helped Wisconsin technical college students pay for child care while they complete their degrees. Now, student parents are enrolling in f...

how is not counting us going to help them with their resegregation goals? racism makes you so stupid I swear
The proposal is part of the administration’s broader effort to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs. The U.S. Census Bureau states in the proposal that the process “should be colorblind and not be distorted in any way by questions about immaterial personal characteristics.”
Trump proposes eliminating race, ethnicity questions from 2030 census, alarming health, civil rights advocates

I also want this pithy snide white splained condescention on record about what I or anyone else should be "demanding better" about in a country with two options where the one is literally advocating for resegregation and remigration.

It’s almost like #complicitmedia bosses are Republikans who like tax cuts and want resegregation.

Thanks are due first and foremost to Alan Garber and the Harvard Board of Overseers who are most responsible for Harvard's resegregation.

perhaps the world's richest Nazi is aware of which party supports desegregation and which party supports resegregation in America!
October 30, 2026 at 6:22 PM
im pretty sure Black cis ppl wouldn’t vote democrat if a bunch of them were running campaign ads arguing in favour of resegregation. which is what you’d have to conjure if you honestly want to make that argument in good faith. 🙄

the aim of the white supremacists in the Trump regime is resegregation and they are too damned successful
And this is not just happening in Harvard. Black enrollment in almost all Ivy League schools & big universities is down by a lot.

2030-2032 classes across the country will have at most 10% of black students.
Black enrollment at Harvard has fallen by 50% in three years. After a brief period in which African Americans were well-represented among at Harvard College, we have now returned to the centuries-old pattern of black underrepresentation.

I voted today, and please everyone who follows me in Nevada Vote Blue! We can't let this state end up like my birth state (Alabama)!!!

In fact I wanna share a story with y'all about myself because it's integral to my identity.

Alabama even in 2026 is pushing for resegregation, anti-feminist laws

The far right is engaged in a white supremacist resegregation project, a project to create a white ethnostate. The dividing and fracturing of non white people against each other to achieve this white supremacist goal is deeply under covered. When I was in a newsroom I tried; it was mostly rejected.

They're not limiting resegregation to higher education....
October 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM
And these institutions have made a decision to go along with resegregation, though they have many other options at their disposal and in the case of UT rely on Black kids that play football to make the university money.
Two stories on my feed—Black enrollment dropping at Harvard and UT admins shutting down anti-racist students--are the same story.

Conservatives want to resegregate higher education and makIng open racism great again helps the process along.

The establishment of "Civic centers" at universities across the country is also a critical part of this plan. Resegregation is at the heart of all these changes. Texas is at the forefront @utaustinaaup.bsky.social @texasaaup.bsky.social

Yes. The rejection of an ethos of inclusivity and embrace of resegregation is very bad

As I said—resegregation is the Republican program.
For these people, black achievement is automatically suspect, since it defies their deeply felt priors that black people (and other nonwhite cohorts) are inherently inferior.

America's falling apart, but the Republican resegregation program seems to be working.
Trump fired him. The ‘DEI Watchlist’ shamed him. Then came 500 job rejections. — The Washington Post
Efforts to purge the government of diversity, equity and inclusion programs have taken a major toll on Black workers who now struggle to find comparable jobs.

Remember after Callais came out, the three or four states just went absolutely resegregation hog wild for Trump's amusement, while every other red-ass statehouse quietly demurred as quietly as one can demur? Like, even SC knew better than to touch Clyburn?

Their logic was sound, there.
I had Louisiana in my Impossible column until this morning. Every Black person in the South is voting.

Trump has lost the segregationist National Review.

I cannot stress enough that NR was founded as a way to stop desegregation, and then to create resegregation.

And Trump has LOST these guys.

Resegregation of society has been one of the chief goals of everything this Administration does.
"The cuts were partially offset by new hiring and the reinstatement of some workers. Overall, the portion of the federal workforce that is Black has dropped substantially since Trump’s second administration began, The Post found."
Nearly 1 in 5 federal workers left under Trump. Black workers took the biggest hit.
A Post analysis reveals how many more workers have departed under President Donald Trump's second administration compared with Joe Biden and Trump's first term.

It’s not about education.

“School choice” is a deceptive euphemism for resegregation of schools. Conservatives, racists & bigots have long sought to funnel taxpayer money earmarked for public schools into their private schools, without any oversight, accountability, or adherence to federal laws.

Would you tell black voters to “quit being pissed” if a candidate were endorsing resegregation?

"The world outside Hillman’s gates is actively resegregating the machinery of American progress. And the tools of resegregation now seem bigger, meaner and harder than the ones we overcame. Living the nightmare is enough..."
