3D render in the style of 1990s CG, formatted like a print ad. It shows a living room in chaos. Lamp toppled over, beverages on the floor and broken portraits. In focus is a large television set teetering over the edge of its stand, held only by its power cord. Below it is a Nintendo 64. Displayed on the TV is gameplay of Super Mario 64, with a 3D render of Mario superimposed as though he is pressed against the screen. There is black cannon smoke behind him. Headlining text reads "really intense" Body text reads "When you play Nintendo 64, you'd best hold onto something. It gets real FAST." Identical, without text.

I've plunged deep into retro 3D modeling and rendering this week, remembering just how much I've enjoyed doing this kinda stuff in the past. It's a mix of feeling very zen and frustrating, but getting a result that looks like an old PC game cover feels pretty great!

A surreal 3D landscape depicting a vast ocean with a small island with a caved out stone face in the middle. A glimpse of a planet with a ring can be seen above. The image is surrounded by a thin golden border, and a golden-bronze blimp floats on the left, as if it's flying out of the confines of the border. The entire image sits on top of a background of an aquamarine water pattern.

Something new to play with, the SoftImage Creative Environment from 1994. The most mind blowing 3D animation tool from 30 years ago!

What should I make with it first?
