The true power of the CRT, my friends
First two are the Sony Trinitron KV-20FS100
The other two are my LG ultra gear 1080p LCD display through the RetroScaler 2X upscaler
That said , the upscaler puts up a good fight, especially for the price

Kit and I have had one of the Retroscaler GBS-C's for a good while now, which packs a lot of punch for its price, especially having pretty decent motion adaptive deinterlacing. Something you def appreciate with 480i games.

My friend @fauxtier.bsky.social gave me this really cool retroscaler 2x. And I'm amazed how it looks good with RCA consoles like the nes/Famicom under smaller LCD display.
I still have to convert my famiclones from pal-m to NTSC so I used a real famicom that I av moded.
Thank you very much man <3

I know there's an upfront cost to playing real hardware on an HDTV these days, but there are good, budget friendly scalers and if you want more modern amenities, go grab a cheap Blueretro adapter and pair it with a DualShock 3. The analog buttons work great on games that need it. Highly recommended!

Stuff like the MultiSystem 2 and SuperStation 1 for consolized versions, plus companies like Kaico and RetroScaler are getting in on cheap Misters now too.

I will say, that for £30 delivered from AliExpress, I am incredibly satisfied with my Retroscaler 2X.

Honestly, I think I'm good with S-video + that RetroScaler for my N64, no need for an RGB or HDMI mod. This looks plenty sharp and vivid to me personally. Also love Draco's character design in this game :3

I bought a Retroscaler 2x because my RetroTINK was giving me fits, but I’ve also needed a component capture device ever since my Hauppauge stopped interfacing with modern technology.
The Retroscaler works great! But it turns out the problem was an HDMI cable, and the RetroTINK is fine. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Since I was having issues with my new GBS-C, I've got a better SCART since I suspected that was the problem. Now it works perfectly.
The upscaling is better than my previous retroscaler, with scanlines, and no image noise anymore. Great stuff to play on Saturn
