Lots of reverberations

I love when an insult like "Bloodless Quant" really lands and you can almost feel the reverberations in the psychosphere

The reverberations of Occupy continue today.

Netanyahu to the U.S. Congress, 2002: "If you take out Saddam, Saddam's regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region."

Truly a Golden Age for preening dumbfucks who mistake the reverberations in their empty skulls for the music of the spheres.
We should not let Eliezer “I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but not in the same way you plebeian fools do” Yudkowsky and his weirdo friends regulate and run the U.S. AI sector, which they are perilously close to doing, as I discuss here:

Justice Sotomayor: "Today's ruling threatens the very essence of public education."

"The reverberations of the Court's error will be felt, I fear, for generations. Unable to condone that grave misjudgment, I dissent."

Netanyahu told Fox News host Sean Hannity that the assault on Iran “is not an endless war.”

He famously said the same thing in 2002 about the Iraq War.

His prediction that removing Saddam Hussein would bring “positive reverberations” after the 2003 Iraq invasion did not come to fruition.

Brexit was really dumb. What an own goal. With ongoing reverberations.

Someone somewhere fell powerful asleep, started dreaming. Big enough dream for us to be in, we can all pile in, I felt the reverberations just then.

Bibi Netanyahu, in 2002, urging the US to invade Iraq: "If you take out Saddam, Saddam's regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region."

The US listened then, and we saw what happened. 23 years later, here we are.

It's why politicians shouldn't play footsie with bullshit even if they're obviously lying, because it sends destructive reverberations through the whole fragile coalition.

[2023] Reverberations

I’m officially scared.

Because of this ONE tweet being afraid of potential reverberations of right wing political violence from this — something many others have said — I’m now the first result on a website called “charliesmurderers.”

This is putting me in genuine danger.

What the fuck do I do

Koji Suzuki—the intensely talented and influential author of RING, SPIRAL, DARK WATER, and many other novels and short stories—has passed way at the age of 68. Too young. An enormous loss. The reverberations of his fiction will continue to be felt for years to come.

It's hard to overstate the incandescent rage that Canada is feeling right now. Trump's tariffs and constant talk about annexation have turned the Canadian public hard against America, in a way that is going have reverberations for at least a generation.

Canada is gearing up for war.
One under-reported reason that these tariff games are bad is that even if Trump takes them away, some sales channels might not come back. People adjust their buying behavior. Or just stay pissed.

I have no sympathy for Jack Daniels, but there are plenty of smaller companies that may not recover.
Jack Daniel's maker said Canadian provinces taking American liquor off store shelves was 'worse than a tariff' and a 'disproportionate response' to levies imposed by the Trump administration reut.rs/3XtHp32
