Goedemorgen.
Daar zijn we weer.
Een nieuwe dag.

Ik zag zojuist twee koolmeesjes tortelduif Emma wegjagen.
Alles voor het eten.

Ik maakte gisteren rabarber klaar zodat we vanavond rhubarbcrumble hebben als toetje bij de koffie.

Nu al zin in.

Heb een tegemoetkomende dag mensen.
Een fuut drijft op rustig, licht gerimpeld water. De vogel is van achteren gefotografeerd en heeft zijn kop naar beneden gebogen, alsof hij zijn borstveren poetst. De donkere kuifveren steken omhoog en vormen een opvallend silhouet. Het grijze en witte verenkleed contrasteert subtiel met het koele blauwgrijze water, waarin zachte rimpelingen en een lichte weerspiegeling zichtbaar zijn.

#Rhubarb #Crumble I don't know what it is with my 2 plants but they produce something rotten. Thin and eat. Thin and eat. Gonna turn into a rhubarb plant at this rate. Tried rhubarb #jam once, didn't set too well but very nice.

There is nothing else that takes me back to childhood better than this

The house we lived at had some rhubarb growing at the bottom of the garden left by the prior occupant and we did sod all to help it grow

First #RhubarbCrumble of the year. My rhubarb patch looking like a jungle this time of the year. Only ever seems to die back briefly in Nov-Dec.

Home made rhubarb crumble. I soften the stalks in a bit of sugar in the saucepan first. No need to add liquid as there is enough in the stalks. That makes a nice juice depending on how you like it sweetened. Crumble is with a hand mixer rather than a machine, I get better results. The hand mixer takes a little longer but worth it. Usually brown sugar and oats added to the flour and butter.
