Because of king high tides, I got a tip that Ridgways rails appear in large numbers at a local nature preserve.

Also, who would I babysit? Literally all of my parents' friends were either child free or had kids approximately my age, and thankfully my mom would not have subjected me to the Ridgways even if they didn't have a son a year younger than me who could do it

The sources of most of today's anguish ! Four fifteen year old locking wheel nuts and a worn and falling apart "key" that wouldn't remove two of them. Called "Ridgways Locking Wheel Nut Removals" who arrived within an hour and I had them replace them all while they were at it.
