Fashion designers who incorporate lots of prints like Dries van Noten & Jonathan Saunders are a source of inspiration for Riikka Sormunen (which is totally apparent in this sufficiently surreal work of art from 2024)👁️👁️

Hey, my eyes are up here

The eyes:
IG screenshot from artist @/riikkasormunen. “Ever Watchful”, 2023, oil on canvas. A white/light-skinned human torso from the clavicle to just below the belly button sits wearing an opened light blue floral robe. They’re wearing a white lace bra. The underwire area is red and the center of each cup has green embroidered area that resembles an eye’s iris. So each boob is covered by what looks like a lacy eyeball. The painting isn’t quite photorealistic, but it seems that way upon first glance.
