The rockformation Point du Hoc between Omaha and Utah beach in Normandy, France. Rangers fought heavily here. I've been to this spot three times in my life (first time I was 12 years old) and it has made a deep impression on me. On top of the cliffs you still find bunkers and see a lot of craters made by the shootings. This picture is from 2017.
