Tolle Aufnahme einer Volutus-Wolke (auch oft als Rollcloud bezeichnet). Entsteht durch die sogenannte Gewitterböenwalze, bei der kalte Fallwinde auf warme Aufwinde treffen.

Photographing sunrise, I was intrigued by a band of distant cloud, then amazed as it formed a cylinder that swept towards me at some speed. Then it happened again!

A roll-cloud approaching. The cloud appears bent, during to panorama and wide-angle distortion, but it's actually quite straight, as can be seen in other single shots. Lightroom couldn't manage a perspective projection.

Here's a single shot, showing true perspective. At this stage the wind suddenly started to pick up, from nowhere, and as the cloud passed low overhead it was very windy, trees tossing and leaves blowing, quite sudden.
