It's really not. There's some potential there It's basically a castlevania rougelight sort if experience but it's too undercooked and technical issues out the wazoo. Crazy low frame rate and resolution even on a ps5 pro. Even if it ran perfectly There's just not a good game there honestly.

It's like one of those games where you drop merging fruit, but with deck-building and rougelight elements. The dogs all have cute little animations for when they're falling, bouncing around etc.

You should give Rogue Command a go. It's an RTS rougelight where you get different units and bonuses for them during the run. Played the demo, felt solid and streamlined as rts games go

Been playing the The King is Watching Demo! It’s a damn fine rougelight(?) strategy game. Music is top notch and the gameplay loop is gripping!

That said, there’s a pretty high reliance on luck. And overall balancing that it needs to really shine.

Like. If you see a Rougelike or Rougelight its VERY clearly NOT Rouge their taking referance from. It goes back to stuff from TBOI.

Like. Atleast Metroidvanias still clearly loop back to Metroid and Synphony of the Night. I dont think any rougelike devs have played Rouge.

I had this in my backlog for awhile but finally got around to playing it and my God, it was absolutely fantastic! This is easily my new favorite rougelight. Pom was an adorable protagonist and the restaurant management system was right up my alley. (continued in alt) 8/10

+ Great for short runs.
+ Cheap as heck
+ Can get super-overpowered AND has unlocks, my two favourite things in rougelight-esque games

(I do not like ARG stuff in games, but it's so minimal in this game it did not detract)
