pretty sure it's a Masque of the Red Death reference, the early books are particularly full of references to specific Roundworld stories
I was always uncertain if this was a Masque of the Red Death reference or a more general nod to the idea of Death at a masquerade. 🤔

Terry had fun with many things but poking fun at Roundworld mythology was clearly one of his favorites

There's one of these in Discworld. Absolutely delighted to learn it also exists here on Roundworld.
One of the favourite books I own is The Clown Egg register. Clowns copyright their look by painting them on to an egg

"It's commentary all the way down" explains a lot about Roundworld.

When Discworld meets Roundworld.
Bingley bingley.

TBH, being regarded with good-natured disdain is a bar that many Roundworld leaders do not manage to pass.

I love so many of Terry’s Discworld spins on Roundworld mythology but “angry blue Scottish pixies” might be my absolute favorite

After consulting with priests, the answer is yes and my intuition of "omniscience and omnipresence is transcendant of time & space, very Mythos" was correct. That "forever and ever" phraseology points to eternal, not from this point forward.

Roundworld vs. Flatworld problems, I say.
So:
If a Catholic priest and his congregation were to travel in time to ancient Egypt, would the Eucharist be valid?

This is unfortunately is what a lot of young men are led to believe about "manliness" here in Roundworld too.

Odd that.

one of my favorite bits, especially in the early books, is Pratchett constantly poking fun at how roundworld scientific insights manifestly do not apply to a flat world flying through space on the back of a giant turtle

#Discworld Witches visiting Roundworld are encouraged to observe all local vehicular ordinances
Dammit. Now where the hell did I park my. . . Ah. Found it.

The poker destroyed monsters. Of all kinds.

Roundworld could probably use some more Susans.

OMG Discworld lovers:
In Ankh Morpork there are two families that are bitter enemies, the Selachii and the Venturi.
In roundworld Selachiii is a taxonomic name for cartilaginous fish including sharks. Venturi is a physical effect that enables jets to fly.
The Sharks and The Jets.

The thing is, Vetinari is cynical enough not to trust cynics.

That is incredibly rare, on roundworld or the disc. There are legions of Reacher Gilts but very few Vetinaris.

It’s a nice tin, I shall find some Roundworld pills to put in it (I have plenty). Thank you, memorial team x

GNU TERRY PRATCHETT. 28/04/1948 - 12/03/2015
On this day, 10 years ago, the roundworld lost a great author, a husband, a father, a friend.

CMOT Dibbler looks very different in RoundWorld.
Reading "Guards! Guards!" by Terry Pratchett and found a line about the protest dirty dog vendor 🌭

Another Discworld quote that's all too pertinent to Roundworld today.

And we've seen how that definitely works in Roundworld. Alas.
