I have seen walking tours of Philadelphia with people peering into rowhouse windows like they were props and not homes

in a manner that not only reduces costs, but reduces risks and increases resiliency.
simple forms. simple roof w/ no/few plane changes. no need for tiny gutters or a ridiculous number of downspouts.

What American cities actually need before specialized rowhouse construction companies is rowhouse zoning. Philly's base rowhouse district RSA-5 allows as small as 960 sq ft lots with numerous contextual allowances for occupied area and no side setbacks. This is the real magic sauce

Saw spaceballs at the rowhouse Hollywood out in Dormont since they're running all the Mel Brooks movies in the lead up to the man turning 100. Insanely good experience, and I'm so glad rowhouse finally got this theatre up and running
