JK Rowling's genocidal transphobia is, at press time, extremely low-salience for the general public. Harry Potter remains popular, even in settings like queer-led classrooms in major woke population centers, because the salience is low. Figuring out how to raise that salience will be a vital task.

Seems like a plausible synthesis of this mayoral election and the 2024 Presidential is “paid ads on traditional media have lost almost all salience”.
