One of my favourite family of birds are the waders/shorebirds and it's been over a year since I submitted anybody for #WaderWednesday.

Was able to get some nice pics of a few sanderlings at low tide. They don't usually stop long enough to get their picture taken lol.

I thought I had a pretty good shot, if this is what I got for the day I would have been pretty satisfied. But then, a couple of minutes later the two sanderlings became two dozen! 🪶

Day trip to Walton on the Naze, yesterday.
A wild & woolly day, with quite a few birds along the shoreline — brent geese, plovers, sanderlings — but too far away for pics.
Just a couple of arty snaps. The light was spectacular.
