A friend told me that the perception of violence in Japanese media (mostly interactive stuff) has kinda been changed over the years due to stuff like the Tokyo Sarin Gas Attacks and actual serial murders in the region but like how much of that can be true
So I'm guessing this has to do with a bunch of how Japanese ratings or perceptions of violence have kinda changed throughout the years I guess?
Like looking back at FF7R and how they basically altered Shinra's death with the blood trail and gore and Dyne basically throwing himself off a cliff
