Hell, in a magical setting (my character is in an SF kink setting), scarification could be a form of creating sigils or symbols of power. Imagine the storytelling you could do with a transmasc magic user on that front!

Also, scarification is a form of body modification and body art. Who says a transmasc person would never, ever want to make body art out of top surgery scars?

yeah, man, this intolerance for discomfort is so foreign to me, perhaps because i've been in chronic pain for so long. but also - how are you supposed to know you don't like something if you don't try? (within reason of course, we don't all have to be doing scarification or bungee jumping or LSD)
