It’s not just you. I see more and more hand cyclists and mobility scooterists using cycle lanes. They’re generally smoother and less cluttered than footpaths.

What a difference the earlier sunrise/warmer weather makes. For months I've cycled to work in the dark and ice, lucky if I see one other person outside a vehicle. Suddenly this morning there's loads of runners, cyclists, scooterists and even a guy on roller skates!

this is devastating, and yet another reminder that the single biggest danger to cyclists, scooterists and pedestrians (not to mention vehicle drivers and passengers) is the motor vehicle. the motorist here deserves prison and should never be allowed drive again
