Yep, scrag end. It was a childhood fave. My mum was a great cook. The kids loved it apparently. The neck chops from grand frais had a good quantity of meat.

With the Dunmeshi update to DD2, what I was really hoping for and why I'm disappointed is there's no new food to cook.
All you can cook is scrag of beast or steak.
Why can't we cook fish?
Or the fruits for a salad?

I love it. I am Lancashire born and bred but never ate Lancashire Hotpot in Britain. I have made it here accompanied with homemade pickled red cabbage. I use what I think is called scrag end which seems perfect. Recipe from the Good Housekeeping Cookery book, a wedding gift 55 years ago.

Ah, misread that as "scrag". Here it can mean a ne'er-do-well, or to scrounge up or otherwise procure through dubious methods, or a very skinny person/thing or a very lean, but not in a good way, cut of meat
