Today, Darby (I assume) sits impassively on the chimney stack, next to a nest made of grass and debris. It's a bright sunny day, with stratocumulus clouds and a light breeze. A waiting game.

The young couple have already shagged and built a nest. They seem very content. I have named them Darby & Joan. I watch.

Some of the babies can now sort of fly up the avenue. One of the parents just saw off a man walking dogs. He ducked to avoid a dive bombing from a protective mum or dad.
