#searchability
Maybe I should start using rot13 for absolutely regular and normal tweets (simply wants to lower the searchability of bleets and also embarrassing)

My more serious reply is there's probably an e-edition of that print reference book and, specifically when it comes to REFERENCE books, that's actually one area where the e-edition can often be considered "superior" because SEARCHABILITY is such a useful feature in a reference book, specifically.

Same

It’s good for wasting time but I prefer the immediacy (and later searchability) of text

ebooks clearly won on searchability and distribution, but did going digital first cost you anything in the reader experience, or was it a clean tradeoff?

Routing and search respond in opposite ways to rapid network expansion. Short graph distances make a known destination easy to reach, while the neighborhood accessible within a few hops can be vas...📈🤖

Very bizarre for my star wars post to get quoted framing me as a hater when I very specifically clarified that I'm *not that* and even pointed to a positive thing

I'm looking forward to a new era of these movies personally! Maybe we can get some cool new video games further up in the timeline

unfortunately the current one, "gracefulpaws" brings up a pet clinic LMAOO
its new though. and then again like - admittedly i kind of want to *avoid* searchability, like, thats part of why ive been signing it how I have. I wanna be recognizable to folks who'd already be seeing the stuff I do, right?

Working group: Connecticuts pesticide reporting relies on annual PDFs, limited searchability
A state Office of Legislative Research briefing showed Connecticut collects annual pesticide reports (due Jan. 31) by distributors, private applicators and commercial applicators but stores much data as PDFs and exposes identifying information in public outputs, prompting calls to modernize to structured, searchable formats.

FA is my preferred gallery, and I’m having to debate whether I want searchability to be part of how people discover my artwork, because how people discover it also impacts how they experience it.

E6 or any other site that gives your art the visibility and searchability of a gallery is great
Actually browsing someone's art catalog on bsky/twitter is just endless scrolling, not great

Visibility and searchability are different questions.

Which matters most to you: how long the data is kept, who can search it, who it can be shared with, or whether it should be collected at all?

Therefore I decided to choose 9 honorable mentions as well! :3

*shrugs* i guess i dont really care about Searchability, i like that the only thing that shows up in search results is hashtags so i'm not having a stray word in my post be looked up and then responded to by some person not anywhere near my circles, it's one of my least favorite parts of x/bsky

HOWEVER, I don't know the cost of (steam) refunds and if the gain for an indie from demo coverage/searchability might outweigh the lack of spontaneity rent. IMO Keep the demo up AS LONG AS IT STILL REPRESENT THE GAME AS SOLD, not with old now fixed bugs and missing features. Make a new in that case!

The premise is that music searchability and the industry is already an exploitive hellhole before AI. Current suggestion algorithms are based on popularity or broad genres rather than academic choices of how the music actually works. We can do better to highlight real people off how music works.

Sure, I could “optimize my LinkedIn profile for searchability,” or I could fake my own death and start a new life at sea

Searchability grows when trust compounds.

The more connected and relevant your content becomes, the easier it is to discover.

Whisper and open source forks of it are very good at voice recognition, which likewise means that it's much easier to produce subtitles and transcripts of archival film and video.

Again, great for accessibility and searchability.

Legit. Internet went out last night, and mobile data was also glitching. First thought was ffff, when did I last purchase a physical book, where do I even start, l have been utterly spoilt by the organization and easy searchability of fanfiction 😩 My adhd needs multiple activities (turned radio on.)
I read a lot of books and stuff. And then I also watch a lot of YouTube videos.

And I like to think, what if I just walked into the wilderness (which exists where I live) tomorrow...how long could I survive.

Then my internet goes out for three hours and I want to kms.

It's of no importance and very silly. It just pains me when people abuse words.

[| boorus *need* this depth and nuance in tagging. only having tags for the whole image sacrifices tons of searchability for characters that don't fit common identities and forms, encouraging insensitive, stereotyped tag names like "dickgirl" or the e6 shitters "gynomorph" and """intersex""" |]
