29/x Seastreak sent all four of its fast ferries from New Jersey and carried some 3,000 people. Visibility on the downwind side was five feet; captains docked by radar. One skipper reckoned that with a rubber raft, people would have jumped aboard without hesitation.

Best I figure is the Newport-Providence Seastreak ferry, a double catamaran known for huge wakes vs their size (though Newport ferry is a *much* smaller model than the big Seastreaks). Would have been 40 min late and surprised I didn't notice it across the bay, but more likely than aliens I guess

Various armament appears in different descriptions, but generally; 114mm Mk8, 4 SSM, 4 boxed Stingray on the transom with a hull mounted sonar, a Lynx helicopter and some form of CIWS or ILMS. In this case, I chose SeaStreak.
