Mother is tired. But her heart is growing, holding, and strengthening every day.

Mother aka BOAT (Big Oak Acorn Tree) is on fire in this mid season of life. Limbs have been torn off and healed and new branches of growth. Stronger but battered against the great fall and winter storms which are getting stronger every year. This year she is holding on longer, her leaves of fire. Holding for all the protection she can. For all her children. Her friends. Those who call her home. The ending is good… But the journey was hard. This is what she’s been healing and preparing for. It will be her greatest battle yet against the storm. Some say it’s super El. Nino. But she has been preparing for this fight since she was born. A big Spanish Swamp Oak Tree in BC Canada near the south west coast. It is home to many animals. Mostly multigenerational birds. And now squirrels too. The best looks like a heart. Sometimes the tree looks like a peaceful mother holding onto their child. Beautiful in her stillness. At other times she looks like a dragon 🐉 on fire 🔥 (Dragon and fire emoji above) Mother’s heart. A squirrel nest A woman sits by the fire outside In the South Coast of British Columbia Canada. She sits in the cold with her friend BOAT- A big Spanish swamp oak tree. Taking some time to herself. The day has heen long. But it is dark now. The chikdren are safe. They are loved. The woman sits by the fire in the cold trying to cool down her internal heat. Shes a woman on fire too just like BOAT. A woman with CTPSD and one too many dysabilities for how young she feels in her heart and besides she doesn’t even look disabled; she is reminded often. The journey has been long indeed. But there is always Hope and knowing that she can make it. She’s done it before, she’ll do it again and she is Loved and she loves back. She is healing.

Emily the Cat Pet Quick Illustration by Nicole Anne for Oct 10, 2026 Saturday CattyCards Emily Receives her very own Cat Skeleton and she is very grateful and HAPPY her mom wants us all to know. Look at how happy she is. She definitely hasn't taken this as a direct threat to her life and plotting Dad's death for when he goes to sleep. When? She'll wait till no one would suspect a thing, when any sense of a grudge would have long gone cold. But Emily likes her revenge served cold...Dead Cold. Emily looks Happy and knows where the bodies get buried but if dad asks she loves her Skelly Cat

I attempted using the Holbein Coloured Pencil Meltz because I wasn’t quite liking the bright background to the more mute moose. I now feel the moose looks more balanced. But it’s not there yet. Also still working on background. Tinkering.

WiP OC illustrations by Nicole Anne of Bruce A moose sitting in the snow. Bruce has anxiety about going to a holiday party in the afternoon with his best friend Jackie Rabbit. His tummy is feeling the somatic effects of those worry tummies even if he doesn’t know it and has a case of the anxiety IBS and let’s out a giant worry BUURRPPP In the background is a surprisingly entertaining and the maybe the movie on AppleTV that has acted like an audio book with peripheral visuals with a lot of Oh my Gawds and it’s the perfect time to stretch the art neck and look up to a cool explosion - it was not put on. It came on and Nicole Anne was painting and too lazy to look up a new show
