That's the one! Seems kinda incel-ish, although maybe too self-aware of how sleazily the narrator acts? And yeah, "Jessie's Girl" is a bop. My teenage ass thought it was kind of an anthem, until I listened more closely to the middle eight and realized, "This guy's a dipshit."

It was a site aimed at students circa 2000. Their chatroom censor appeared to have been set up by particularly tedious self-appointed moral guardians (oddly enough, nobody aged 18-ish wants their morals guarded for them)!

You guys, come on. He’s a real person. I saw lots of people (Charlie Miller, included), give him love on the boardwalk yesterday. Matt isn’t a dick, he’s just not self-aware. Lots of people around here suffer from the same ish.

This album is supremely good in general, musically & thematically. Massively exited by and christan/Buddhist+tao symbolism, though i much had to google the words. Impressed as well over just the fitting of the writing into the song’s rhythm. It’s hard to do that even when you aren’t pushing a theme.

They didn’t have to rule that way. They could have held to precedent like they said they would when they were confirmed. This was a proactive choice by the majority to take right away rights from women. They knew it. It doesn’t take courage to be assholes. It takes self(ish) righteousness.

I would really like this assessment to be simplistic and catering to the self-assessed moral superiority of the left. Unfortunately, I think it’s correct. As a middle-aged southern(ish) white dude, I had hoped and believed we had put such stupidities to rest. But…nope.

I do think part of the sharp resentment here is because there are (were?) people in marginalized groups making a marginal income stream from self-publishing fairly ok-ish content, and that really is something LLMs can do.
