There's been a lot of appreciation for Viola elatior amongst visitors to the nursery this week. It's self seeded in the paths and gravel beds quite a bit but it's never a nuisance.

Speaking of cuttings, I've failed before with my thornless blackberry, and not hopeful of these two selfsown or popped-up in the path small ones. Maybe too late for layering which I only just discovered is best for brambles?
Will do a couple on Wednesday, but anyone know if they take long to root?
