A brawling #ScanlineSunday to celebrate the EVO weekend:

Some might say SFZ2 is the best Street Fighter. I won’t argue.

it’s still a bit funny that even after the N64 had released, they opted to port SFZ2 to SFC rather than the much-more-capable new system

what sticks out for the N64 is how certain genres are a near void on the platform: (J)RPGs, 2D fighting games, STGs, arcade ports in-general, etc.

heck, Nintendo themselves even published SFZ2 on the SFC but couldn’t attract a port for the theoretically-more-capable and brand-new N64?

X-Men vs SF was the first game that required the 4 MB expansion cartridge; the game and cart were sold as a bundle (maybe released separately later on?) and was around 2,000 yen more expensive as a result, so it’s not surprising that it sold a bit lower than VH/SFZ2/etc.

Yes, @jamesgunn.bsky.social is right in "Superman" - Pollyanna's the edgiest, most punk-rock thing you can be. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFZ2...

Em 2025, Street Fighter Zero/Alpha faz seu aniversário de 30 anos, apesar do SFZ2 ser meu favorito, acho importante celebrar o primeiro com a capa ao invés do segundo de cara. Outras sugestões são The Last Blade, Silent Hill, Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories e Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When they do revivals of this musical -- and they must, in perpetuity -- the lyric should be changed to "How were people Uncommitted?"

Quem aqui lembra do CPS2 Shock?

Por causa da pirataria do SF2, a Capcom lançou uma placa nova (CPS2, 1994) com um sistema de proteção que só foi quebrado em 2001 pelo cara desse site aí.

Toda semana tinha 2 novos releseases, lembro qdo saiu SFZ2 e X-Men vs Street, me INTERNEI na frente do PC
